Dripping Nail Art

For this mani, I used a tutorial by Chalkboard Nails. I painted these last week, but I didn’t have enough time to post them. I’m really happy with how these turned out-great tutorial! I used Covergirl Midnight Magic, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, and Kiss Nail Art white striper.

Hourglass Mani

The main purpose of this mani was to see how textured a textured nail polish would be after a coat of normal nail polish. The expected answer: still textured. This was a fun and simple mani. It was a bit challenging using a striper to make the guidelines for the hourglass because of the texture. I had to go over the same line 2 or 3 times with more polish on the brush than usual. I used Deborah Lippmann Pretty Vacant and Kiss Nail Art Black Paint. It was cloudy-hence the bluish light. This was really quick-textured polishes don’t take long to dry and don’t need a top coat.

Sugar Spun

More Halloweenish nails-after Halloween. I meant to post this before Halloween, but I was pretty busy. Anyway, I think this could have used a different color set, the black Kiss nail art paint was hard to see against Zoya Ibiza unless in direct sunlight where you could see the texture. There are more globs than I would like, but its not bad. My favorite is my fourth nail-it has the least globs 🙂 This technique is pretty messy so I wouldn’t really do it unless I am willing to clean up around my nails for a longer time, but the time is worth it. Overall, I really like this mani and it seems like a fun thing to do anytime!
