Day 12: Stripes

So for the stripes prompt I did a kind of stripe gradient, as you can see, starting with one stripe on my thumb and ending with five on my pinkie. I used three coats of Wet n Wild Blazed; it has a very squishy appearance. So I laid some nail tape down and used one coat of Sally Hansen Big Smoky Topcoat. Even though it happens to be a bit streaky I really like it. instead of just finding two colors that match, I just grab this.

Day 11: Polka Dots

For Day 11 I made a sideways French using dots. I started with Revlon Eclectic and used grey acrylic paint for the dots. This was super fast to do.

Revlon Eclectic is a slightly dulled mint green. It took three coats to become opaque, and was a little watery. After three coats, it was still streaky but my topcoat fixed that. It is a super pretty color.

Day 10: Gradient Nails

Okay, day 10. I’ve been super busy so I haven’t done my nails for a bit. So here is the lazy version of gradient nails. I started with two coats of Zoya Nyx. I then used Zoya Vespa to make a gradient the way you would do with glitter: pool some polish at the base and drag. It’s pretty subtle.

Day 9: Rainbow Nails

I could not think of a design for the longest time, I don’t usually wear super colorful things, such as rainbows, but I finally came up with this. I used Sinful Colors Black on Black as a base and added (in order of the rainbow)  Zoya Livingston, Revlon Siren, Sinful Colors Let’s Meet and Rise & Shine, Sally Hansen Blue Me Away!, and Zoya Belinda.

This would look better if my nails were longer, but I broke my middle and ring nails in the great outdoors this weekend. My favorite nail by far is my pinkie! (Also, if you didn’t see, it’s kinda hard to notice but on the purple on my middle finger is smudged-that’s what happens when you put your nail polish away immediately after applying a topcoat).

Day 8: Metallic

I’ve been super busy so I haven’t had the time to do my nails. Here are my Day 8 nails: metallic. I started with Zoya Cassedy and wore it for a day before adding the french nail design. I used green acrylic paint and freehanded the french nail design a small brush before adding another coat of Orly topcoat. I found myself looking at my polish numerous times throughout the day. I love cassedy- its a great metallic grey with a slight green sheen.
