Back to the challenge! At least for this post. I have some nail stickers that I am currently wearing. So the song behind this mani is Blood by My Chemical Romance. It’s a great song, one of my favorites from MCR. So, of course, I’ve got blood on my thumb and fourth finger, and a cool red gradient-splash with a white accent on the others. The video is set in a locker room, which is why I have the white square accents, kinda depicting the locker latches.
This was really the only picture I liked, so it’s hard to see the rest of the design, but I took this off pretty fast. I used Sinful Colors Black on Black, red acrylic paint, and A Kiss white striper.
I haven’t really been paying attention to the 31 day challenge I started forever ago. This nail art deviates from the challenge. I used Zoya Payton and black and white acrylic paint. Its kind of a feathery gradient/accent. I started with three coats of Payton, then I used a thin brush and painted the black on, and finally the white. Looking back, I think I should have used white first, then black so the design stands out more. Its hard to see in shadow, but in sunlight or any light, the design is apparent.
So this is day is a kind of fail. I attempted to water marble and was saved by only the color I had chosen. It looks okay, but it isn’t really a water marble. I will definitely be trying this again, during or after the challenge is over. This picture is not quite correct, my camera gives the purple I used a blue tone. I used Zoya Belinda and Ibiza, as well as Sinful Colors Snow Me White as a base for my water marble. Sorry I have only been able to post around once a week, school and sports are very demanding.
This was pretty experimental, I used acrylic paints instead of nail polish- nail polish works a lot better. It’s harder to blend acrylics because they dry super fast on the nail, and they don’t work as well on a sponge as nail polish does. Anyway here is Day 19. I used Sinful Colors Black on Black as well as various acrylic paints.
This will be a super short post since I have school work to do so…. Just some typical half moons for Day 18. I used Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac and some white acrylic paint for the half moons. I free handed the half moons with a small detail brush.
